It is my hope that somewhere among these pages, you will discover words that touch your heart, remind you of someone special, and inspire you to treasure the greatest gifts of life.ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Tina Bonitatis is a wife, mother of two, and grandmother of four. She has been writing poetry since elementary school, when she first discovered the joy of putting thoughts and feelings into words. Now, in her golden years, she feels especially grateful for the people, places, and experiences that have shaped her life, and many of her poems are reflections of that gratitude.Tina began her higher education at Temple University, where she met her lifelong friend, Arlene. At that time, her heart was set on marriage and family, and after one year she chose to step away from college. Years later, as a wife and mother, she returned to school as a non-traditional student at Camden County College, earning an Associate of Arts degree, often completing her assignments at the kitchen table alongside her children as they worked on theirs.In the 1970s, Tina pursued a creative interest in cake decorating and became a certified instructor of the Wilton Method, teaching classes at JCPenney. Throughout the years, she has also enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and a variety of crafts. One of her special pleasures was teaching a friend how to cook in the Italian style, sharing recipes and traditions close to her heart.Her professional life was varied and rewarding. She worked as a receptionist and secretary in the Physics Department at the University of Pennsylvania, where she formed lasting friendships. Before her marriage, she was employed by a yearbook publishing company and later worked for two general contractors, as well as serving as assistant to the owner of the Hideaway Restaurant in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.Her final position was as Administrative Assistant for Continuing Education at Helene Fuld School of Nursing. There, her love of cooking led to an unexpected opportunity: she was invited to serve as co-editor of the school’s cookbook, a collection of recipes contributed by faculty members and notable guests.Through every season of her life, family, friendships, work, and creative pursuits, poetry has remained a faithful companion. It continues to be the thread that ties together memory, gratitude, and reflection. Read more
